“The goal of these scholarships is to give life-changing opportunities to young people that display a keen interest in IT, but most importantly those with the ambition to empower themselves and those around them through technology,” said Faith Muyengwa, an IT trainer at the academy.
The academy is offering 50 places in their training academy for PC Basics and their IT Technician (A+) course, which is accredited internationally with the Cisco Networking Academy.
“The benefits of these scholarships are that pupils get a chance to be exposed to real life situations, learn office behaviour and expectations, and get the exposure needed to become an IT professional,” said Muyengwa.
She also said top pupils will get an opportunity to do internships at their IT centres and further their knowledge in the industry.
