Masterchef Cook-Off Challenge at Vorna Valley

VORNA VALLEY - Masterchef finalists, sisters Leandri and Seline van der Wat, will visit the Vorna Valley Neighbourhood Market to judge a unique cook-off challenge.

The challenge will see six amateur cooks battle it out over Weber gas braais to be crowned the OLX Cook-Off Master.

Market spokesperson Al Karaki said, “We would like to invite residents to attend the event. Contestants will be selected at random on the day by the chefs.”

The challenge will consist of two 30-minute rounds. All six contestants will put up their best dish from a selection of mystery ingredients provided. Contestants with the two best dishes in round one will go into the final after a short break. The winner of the final round will not only be crowned the OLX Cook-Off Master, but they will also win a brand new Weber Gas Braai worth R8999 and various braai accessories.

Spot prices will also be won. The market will open at 10am on 28 March. Contestants will be selected at random at 10.30am and the first round will begin shortly after. All ingredients and cooking utensils will be provided. Contestants must be 18 or older.
