Woman killed, two children and a man injured in crash
OLIEVENHOUTBOSCH - ER24 paramedics reported that one person died and three others were injured in a collision on the N14, before the R55 in Olivenhoutbosch on the afternoon of 1 April.
ER24 Spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said it was understood a bakkie and car collided.
“When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found a woman in the bakkie. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for her. She was declared dead. A girl believed to be about five years old was assessed and found to be in a critical condition,” said Bodasing.
She said the girl was treated and airlifted to hospital by ER24’s helicopter, AER24. It is understood she was ejected from the vehicle.
“A boy, believed to be about four years old, and a man sustained moderate injuries. They were transported to hospital by ambulance. The exact cause of the collision is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations,” said Bodasing.
