Vorna Valley Post office closes
MIDRAND - Ward 112 Councillor Candice James brought to Midrand Reporter’s attention that the post office in Vorna Valley had closed.
She said, “It is such an inconvenience and the notice does not give the reasons for closure so that residents are informed.”
COO of the South African Post Office Mlu Mathonsi said, “Vorna Valley post office had to close on 30 March 2015 as the lease agreement expired.”
Mathonsi did not say if the lease would be renewed. He added that customers could use the Halfway House post office in the Boulders shopping centre for all postal transactions, including Postbank, money transfers and courier services.
“Postboxes at Vorna Valley post office will remain where they are, and this service will not be affected in any way,” he assured.
