Excellence awards for nurses doing great work

MIDRAND - Life Carstenhof Clinic and Discovery recently hosted the first Discovery Excellence Awards for Nurses. The initiative celebrates that have been identified by patients as having played an important role during their stay in hospital.

Junerose Madlala and Theodora Mdluli from the maternity unit at the clinic were awarded certificates of excellence, R4 000, and gift hampers.

Mdluli said, “I am so happy to be recognised. I will continue to provide quality care to the patients with pride and confidence.”

Madlala also expressed joy at being awarded and recognised for the work she loves.

“I am so excited and inspired to continue working even more diligently. I am proud to be chosen from all other nurses,” she said.

The clinics nurse manager, Sibongile Mchunu said, “We are proud of the two nurses who were awarded excellence awards. They are part of the great [team] of nurses we have who show great commitment to their work.”
