Life4U to clean up for you
MIDRAND - The young men and women who run the community organisation, Life4U Foundation, are literally planning on taking cleanliness into their own hands.
On 16 April, the Ivory Park community-based organisation will embark on an awareness drive that will see them scrubbing toilets all over Ext. 7 in Ivory Park.
“The door-to-door toilet hygiene awareness campaign’s aim is to promote the use of clean toilets, ridding the community of dysfunctional toilets and cleanliness in our living and working environment,” said Mpho Mofokeng, chairperson of the organisation.
They will target schools and households on the day. “We will be doing house visits and educating community members about toilet hygiene.”
“We will be also cleaning their toilets if we find dirty unhygienic toilets in these households,” Mofokeng announced.
The campaign will begin at 8am at Rebonwe Primary School. From 9.30am to 11am, members of the organisation will move from the school to the nearby households, doing a door-to-door campaign.
