Midrand SPCA rescues goat trapped in hole

MIDRAND - Midrand SPCA recently rescued a goat that fell into an open water drainage hole along Modderfontein Road.

Inspector Jerry Seemise said, “We were told that passersby saw four goats in that area, but we [only] found one trapped in a drainage hole.”

The goat was not injured and is now being kept at the SPCA. The Midrand SPCA said they were thankful to everyone who made calls to alert the animal shelter of the goat which required help.

Seemise added that inspectors also go around catching feral cats in Midrand at homes and business premises.

If you have a problem with feral cats or you want to report animal cruelty or donate to the shelter, contact the SPCA on 011 265 9935.
