Suspect arrested for copper theft

RABIE RIDGE - Police arrested a man for possession of copper on 4 May.

Police spokesperson Constable Jacob Nhlongo said, “Police who were patrolling in Kanana at the time received a tip-off from the community that a man was cleaning cables he had stolen.”

Nhlongo said police would like to thank members of the public who give police information on crimes that are happening in Rabie Ridge communities. “Anyone caught with stolen property and goods will be arrested,” he added.

The suspect will soon appear at Tembisa Magistrates’ Court for possession of stolen copper.
