
Lebogang Moche, a board member of the school in Midrand said the event was aimed at encouraging parents to raise proudly-African children and to also celebrate Africa Day.
She said the school was a unique pan-African co-educational institution. “We believe a school, as such, is instrumental to bringing forth a generation of young people who are not xenophobic or Afrophobic, who are geared to face the challenges in Africa and take a stand towards a unified Africa,” she said.
She added that pupils would perform a variety of activities on the day and there will be an African-themed market as well as entertainment.
