Car wash for Tumelo Home
MIDRAND - Members of the club, Minions Midrand Miniacs, is taking it upon themselves to shorten Tumelo Home's wishlist.
The Miniacs are individuals who have joined forces because of their love for Mini Coopers and charity.
On 30 January, the group is inviting all Midrand drivers to take out their cars and make their way to the corner of Liebenberg and Lever roads in Midrand from 7am to 5pm where they will host a car wash.
Proceeds from the car wash will be donated to the home on 27 February, where they will officially launch their club as well. The money will be used to buy things such as clothing and kitchen supplies.
Tumelo Home is home to some of Ivory Park’s most vulnerable residents. It houses mentally and physically challenged individuals who are currently aged between five and 45. Many of the children at the home have either been orphaned or abandoned.
Mary-Jane Serwalo, a member of the Miniacs, said they wanted to choose a home that is making a difference in the lives of people.
A wash will be R50 per car and BMW and Mini Cooper customers can get a diagnostic done for R250 on the day.
