The school unveiled their first Eco-Warriors Living Classroom, which is a garden where the children will learn how to take care of the environment.
“I was very lucky to be invited to be a guest of honour at the unveiling,” said the former nursery school principal, Eda Gonsalves.
Gonsalves said the initiative was the brainchild of Cindy Hope. “She has lived in Midrand for most of her life and has had a dream to teach children how to grow their own food, recycle and care for our precious planet,” Gonsalves explained.
And now, vice principal of the school Sonya Toet, has made Hope’s dream a reality. Gonsalves described the classroom as being absolutely beautiful.
“This is the way that education should go for the future,” said Gonsalves.
