Don’t talk to strangers, children

MIDRAND – Midrand police hold a safety awareness talk at Midrand Primary School.

 

Police officers of Midrand Police Station and Metro police gave a talk at Midrand Primary School.

Sergeant Matome Tlamela, spokesperson for the station said the aim of the talk was to warn schoolchildren about the dangers of communicating with strangers as this could lead to kidnapping.

The officers also discouraged bullying and warned them about the disadvantages of alcohol and drugs.

“Disturbing news of horror killings of innocent children are becoming more and more common, therefore, the awareness will assist pupils to be more vigilant at all times in order to avoid being victims of these particular crimes,” concluded Tlamela.
