Help raise funds for Midrand teachers
MIDRAND – Midrand High School to host Fundraiser Comedy Festival on 4 August.
Midrand High School will send two of it teachers to Sweden later this year to learn about the Swedish educational system and is urging the community to assist with financial donations for the trip.
The school is involved in the South Africa Sweden School Exchange Programme, an international partnership programme between South Africa and Sweden schools. The programme comprises Midrand High School as well as Minerva and Ivory Park secondary schools.
On return, the teachers will share their findings and experiences with colleagues in the department of education and other stakeholders.

Due to other school priorities and budgetary constraints, the school is not in a position to pay for educators’ flight costs and is raising R28 000 to cover the flight tickets.
The Swedish school is paying for living and travelling costs within Sweden. A Fundraiser Comedy Festival will be held on 4 August at 7pm in the school hall.
Comedy Central comedian Kediboni Mulaudzi, Pravesh Mungaldave, Thabiso Mhlongo, Gavin Kelly, TT The comedian and Panch Gasela have volunteered their services to host the fundraising initiative.
Tickets are selling for R50 and can be purchased at the school finance office between 8am and 3pm during the week or at the gate on the day.
Doors will open at 5.30pm and the show will be from 7pm to 9pm and parking space is provided.
