The Rainbow Day Care Centre in Midrand was adopted by the Boulders Shopping Centre last year and has recently undergone a refurbishment, including the installation of a new ceiling, a paint job, a brand new playground and more.
The newly refurbished day care centre was launched on 13 October to the public and members of the media and guests were invited to have a look at the new facilities and renovations.

The ablution facilities received a facelift and now boys and girls finally have their own toilet facilities. There is also a new baby section ideal for potty training toddlers.
A sick bay was also created with all the necessary equipment provided to treat ill children. Every child was provided with a mattress for their nap times, where previously they would sleep on the floor. Caley May, marketing manager of the centre said, “It is important for us to create a comfortable environment for these future leaders and to support the local community that shop at the Boulders Centre.”
My Kitchen Rules SA contestants, Charnell Young and Kerry-Anne Sonn, took part in the event and honed their traditional cooking skills to make a family favourite of macaroni and cheese for all the children.
The revamp of the day care centre took two weeks and the Boulders Centre will continue to support their local community well into the future.
