Rotary Family Health Days campaign comes to Ivory Park
IVORY PARK – A healthy community thrives better.

The National Department of Health, the Rotary Club of Kyalami and other partners brought the Rotary Family Health Days campaign to Ivory Park at the Kanana Community Hall.
The campaign involves hundreds of volunteers in more than 120 Rotary sites in nine provinces.
Rotary Club of Kyalami president, Peter Schaefer said the Rotary Club of Kyalami, with the help of the National Department of Health identified Ivory Park as being without essential community health services.
Schaefer said, “Immunisation, HIV testing, TB screening, blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes testing and more were made available as well as provision of contraceptives. In addition, since last year, Emoyo has partnered with the Rotary Club of Kyalami providing hearing tests for the community.
“We had a very good response right from the beginning of this year’s health days with 500 patients so far making use of the various health services. What is of real concern is the high number of children in the area who have not been immunised.”
In a statement, the department praised the initiative and also stated that it provided nutrition and lifestyle choices education and information, polio drops and measles inoculation.
