Ivory Park police search for mentally ill man

MIDRAND – Ivory Park police officers are looking for a mentally ill man that went missing on 4 November.

 

Ivory Park police officers are looking for a mentally ill man, Dankie Adolph Mthombeni from Giyani, Limpopo who went missing on 4 November while visiting his family.

His family is concerned that he is not familiar with the area.

At the time he went missing Mthombeni was wearing a navy blue jacket, blue and black T-shirt, blue trousers and black takkies.

“The police are calling for anyone who may recognise the man in the picture to contact the police because his family is desperately looking for him due to his mental condition which requires monitoring,” said Ivory Park Police Station spokesperson, Captain Bernard Matimulane.

Police have launched a manhunt and remain hopeful that they will be able to find him with the assistance of the community.
