KFC and Karabo Poppy celebrate families across SA

KFC has developed a series of Limited-Edition Karabo Poppy buckets to encourage consumers to partake in some fun family activities.

KFC South Africa recently launched another exciting collaboration, with one of South Africa’s hottest illustrators and local artists, Karabo Poppy, as they celebrate families across the country.

Having recently developed a series of Limited-Edition Karabo Poppy buckets, KFC is encouraging consumers to take part in some family fun.

By sharing a picture of their family or ‘fam’ via social media, using the hashtag #MadeForSharing and tagging KFC SA, consumers can win one Poppy family illustration created by the one and only Karabo Poppy.

“We are incredibly excited to be collaborating with the super talented Karabo Poppy. KFC believes that the beauty about family is that it comes in all shapes and sizes, with our famous buckets often being a reason to get together,” said KFC SA’s marketing director, Grant Macpherson.

“Karabo has brought that sentiment to life with these new Limited-Edition buckets, which we hope will entice fans to share a bucket and a special moment with those they love.”

Poppy added, “This project is personal to me as it speaks directly to the love of families, storytelling, and coming together to enjoy a delicious meal. I’m honoured to get to capture this in my KFC and Karabo Poppy Family Portraits Series. I’m really excited to illustrate and highlight the diversity of SA families, both the families people are born into as well as the ones they have chosen.”
As consumers get together with their friends or fam in the month of April and May, they are encouraged to share their moments via social media and stand a chance to win one of 11 unique Karabo Poppy family illustrations.

The competition was launched on April 14 and will close on May 12 and winners are selected each week.
