Klipfontein View trio to drop debut album
From sharing a single microphone to beating the odds, three Midrand musicians are turning their neighbourhood struggles into a message of hope.
In just one year, three young men from Klipfontein View, Midrand, have turned friendship into fire and hustle into harmony.
Meet The 3rd Shift BSB (Broke Spoilt Brat), made up of Goodwell ‘King Goodies’ Ndaba, Percival ‘Titan Ndlovu’ Mduduzi Mncube and Kamohelo ‘Slotter Empire’ Mphana.

On December 1, the trio will release their first-ever album together, titled The 3rd Shift BSB.
No big label. No big budget. Just three Klipfontein boys with a big dream, and now that dream is an album.
Speaking to the Midrand Reporter, each member shared their feelings. Ndaba said this is more than music.
“We started with empty pockets but full hearts. This album is our diary. Every track is a piece of Klipfontein: the pain, the parties, the prayers. We wanted to show that even when you are broke, you can still be a king. That’s why we are BSB.”
Mncube said unity kept them alive. “People laughed at us. They said a group from Klipfontein won’t last three months. We lasted a year and we made an album. We shared one mic, one laptop, one dream. When one of us was down, the other two lifted him. That’s the 3rd Shift spirit – we never clock out.”

Mphana said the album is for the kasi.
“This one is for every kid in Klipfontein who feels forgotten. BSB means Broke Spoilt Brat – it means you might be broke today, but you carry yourself like a future millionaire. On December 1, we are not just dropping songs, we are dropping hope.”
From a small corner in Klipfontein View to a big dream dropping on December 1, Ndaba, Mncube and Mphana have proven that one year of brotherhood, hustle, and belief is enough to make history.
This is not just an album; it is Klipfontein’s voice, Klipfontein’s pain, and Klipfontein’s pride.
