Church of Scientology’s Tools for Life programme continues to change lives
Seeking practical solutions, a local reverend wound up in Castle Kyalami, the Church of Scientology, and was introduced to the programme.
According to Castle Kyalami, Church of Scientology spokesperson Sandile Hlayisi, South Africa is a spiritual country in which whenever a person gets into trouble, they often consult with a pastor.
This is why the church recently featured a local South African reverend in an international documentary for his contribution to uniting religions and tackling community issues.
Scientology TV Network’s Voices For Humanity, a weekly series presenting heroic change-makers from a variety of faiths, cultures, and nations working to uplift their communities, announced a new episode for their global audience featuring Reverend Shadrack Lekoane of the Uniting Reformed Church of Southern Africa.
Lekoane grew up in an era where the church was a trusted place, a place people turned to for answers to life problems.

Known to his friends as ‘Pastor’ before he was even a teen, Lekoana followed in his father’s footsteps, leading a life of service to the church.
Despite growing up impoverished, he was the first in his family to go to college, where he earned his theology degree.
Years of face-to-face counselling with parishioners led to the realisation that he lacked practical solutions to truly help them with their problems.
Faced with dire situations in a country where a large percentage of the population lives in poverty, where unemployment and crime are rampant, Lekoane realised that church leaders did not have all the answers to offer their parishioners.
Seeking practical solutions, he wound up in Castle Kyalami, the Church of Scientology, and was introduced to ‘Tools For Life’ — a powerful skills development programme.
“After coming across the Tools for Life, I immediately knew that I could use these new skills in my church and community to help my fellow men tackle the daily struggles of life that test our faith regularly, ” said Lekoane.
