Community radio station invites you to their AGM

Mix 93.8 FM is calling on the Midrand community to actively participate in its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM), following governance concerns earlier this year.

The local community radio station Mix 93.8 FM, managed by Midrand Community Communications (MCC), has announced its upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on October 9.
The meeting, scheduled for 19:00 at The Ingress Building in Waterfall City, follows governance concerns raised earlier this year.

The AGM, an important event for both the station and its listeners, was rescheduled due to irregularities at the previous meeting held in February. This offers the community an opportunity to weigh in on the governance and future direction of Mix 93.8 FM, a key voice in the region. With its reach and influence growing, particularly in Midrand and surrounding areas, the station is urging all stakeholders to attend and take part in discussions.

Midrand Community Communications, the official custodian and holder of the station’s broadcasting licence, sees the AGM as a critical moment to ensure transparency, accountability, and community-driven oversight.

Community members who are interested in getting more involved are invited to apply to join the MCC Board of Directors. Those wishing to volunteer are encouraged to submit their CV and ID copy by September 26, to info@mix938.com.

This AGM not only aims to address past challenges but also offers the public a chance to play an active role in shaping the future of their community radio.
