Shante Sade Rademeyer and Vele Oarabile Lekalakala are fourth-year students at the Independent Institute of Education (IIE) Varsity College studying Bachelor of Laws at the Waterfall campus. They gained work vacation experience at AdvTech in Sandton.
The pair were able to apply their academic theory in the real world. Their responsibilities included reviewing various contracts, while considering important legal frameworks such as the Protection of Personal Information Act and the General Data Protection Regulation law.

Lekalakala said, “It was a hands-on learning experience that strengthened my understanding of corporate legal work, especially in contract management and drafting.”
Rademeyer added, “I learnt administrative skills, interpersonal skills and legal contract review skills. Overall, the experience was indispensable, and I grew my skills in a more practical and corporate environment’.
