Midrand Local Football Association chairperson congratulates Total Football Excellence

Sthembiso Buthelezi, local football association chairperson, believes the season went well after incorporating some of the Midrand suburb teams.

Midrand Local Football Association chairperson Sthembiso Buthelezi believes the 2024/25 season was a success.
He said it was also pleasing to use grounds in Halfway House, Waterfall City, and Beaulieu Colleague, as opposed to only Rabie Ridge Stadium. “The season went extremely well and we managed to finish on time without any challenges. I think we were also helped by using the other fields, and did not have game overload in one venue. This is something we will continue to do next season.”

He said the association will, in due course, open for new teams to affiliate.

Buthelezi said, teams are now allowed to sign players to bolster their teams ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 campaign. “We will go on recess until mid-August. Then, around that time, the top 8 teams will commence with a top 8 competition as the curtain raiser for the up-coming season.”

Buthelezi concluded by congratulating Total Football Excellence for doing well in the SAFA Johannesburg Hollywoodbets Regional League after they were duly crowned winners of the MLFA league.
