Society for Animals in Distress CEO in the Top 30 for Mrs South Africa crown
Beauty with brains: Said CEO, Meg Harvey, makes the cut to the Mrs South Africa Top 30 finalists for 2025.
Meg Harvey, Society for Animals in Distress (Said) CEO in Vorna Valley, Midrand, is setting her sights on the upcoming Mrs South Africa finals in November.
This is after it was announced that Harvey will be joining Mrs South Africa’s Top 30 finalists for 2025.
An advocate and a mother, Harvey will have to juggle these responsibilities ahead of an intensive schedule of workshops, photoshoots, mentoring sessions, and charity engagements over the coming months.

“Standing on that stage and hearing my name called was an overwhelming moment of validation, not just for me, but for every woman who has ever been told she’s too loud, too soft, too much, or not enough,” said Harvey.
She added this journey is about rewriting that narrative.
“I’m here to show that leadership, kindness, and resilience can coexist and change lives.”
Raised in Lombardy East, starting her adult life in Benoni, and now a Sandton resident, Harvey has spent her life building a career rooted in compassion, strategy, and impact.
Following a decade of commitment to the NSPCA, for the past two years, she has led the Society for Animals in Distress as the CEO, where she’s championed the interconnectedness of human and animal well-being through the ‘One Health and One Welfare’ approach.
Her work includes grassroots outreach in underserved communities, public veterinary clinics, education campaigns, and bold fundraising initiatives.
Since entering the Mrs South Africa earlier this year, she has remained focused on achieving her goals of amplifying animal welfare and overall compassion, and reducing violent crime.
This is through advocacy, building public-private partnerships, and using her voice to inspire women to lead with compassion and courage.
