After working at the Western Cape SPCA for years, Mathabela was offered a position as a kennel hand, where his passion for animals continued to grow. “I decided that I wanted to be a voice for the voiceless.” So, his journey to becoming a qualified inspector began.

While training, he says he closely followed Midrand SPCA on social media, noting the field work being done by local inspectors.

This greatly inspired him and he decided that he would love to be part of this team, and further his career under Midrand SPCA’s wing. “By joining the Midrand SPCA team, I want to make a difference in the lives of animals and the community of Midrand.”

On their Facebook page, Midrand SPCA said: “Welcome to the team Inspector Jeffrey. We look forward to working with you as you venture into this new journey, and we know that you will make an incredible impact on the lives of countless animals.”
