For Esther Bayeye, 2025 has been a year defined by invitations, appearances, and recognition in the pageant world.

The Vorna Valley model, who was crowned first runner-up at the Miss Teen Universe pageant in Kimberley, from 9 October to 9 November 2024, said the opportunities to attend events as a guest, judge, and even host have been her highlight of the year.

Bayeye (20) shared, “Although my Miss Teen Universe South Africa 2024/25 journey came to an end, my legacy and presence still live on, and I’ll forever keep working to do and become better. It reminded me of the impact I want to believe I made and how I proudly showcased my excellence as a youngster.”

She explained that what kept her motivated this year was a guiding principle she repeats often: ‘Never limit God to your limited mindset.’

Bayeye expressed gratitude to her family for standing by her throughout her pageant journey.

“I truly believe this is a path that I was meant to be in sooner or later, but having a family that supports you makes the journey much easier.

I want to thank my coaches at Ace Models Waterfall for always speaking life into me, and of course, the amazing designers that I worked with: Couture By Bea, Diaan Daniel, Patrick Ferguson Designs and FBI Wears and Styling. Lastly, Miss Teen Universe South Africa for being a great beginning to my journey,” she added.

Looking ahead, Bayeye said her focus for the coming year was on sustaining and developing her abilities.

“I’m currently working on ways how I can improve the lives of children who are affected by a lack of access to education, sports and ID documentation. I trust in God to lead me on the right path, to the right people to start initiating in 2026.”

She also thanked everyone who supported her and wished them a blessed festive season and a safe crossover into 2026.
