Glen Austin residents invited to the combined AGM with conservancy group
The AGM will see residents association and Glen Austin conservancy chairperson prove feedback on 2024 success and challenges.
The Glen Austin Residents Association (Gara) and Glen Austin Conservancy (GAC) invite all residents to join their annual AGM of 2025.
The AGM is scheduled for March 1 at Cresset House from 14:30.
Gara chairperson John Mphatsoe said the purpose of the meeting was to provide all residents of Glen Austin and other interested parties with feedback on what the association’s committee for 2024 achieved in the past year and what their challenges were.

“Residents of Glen Austin are encouraged to attend the AGM to hear about the progress report concerning issues that are happening in the area. They will also have an opportunity to elect a new executive committee and I urge those who want to be part of the new committee, and volunteer, to attend as well,” said Mphatsoe, adding that he would give a chairperson’s report.

GAC chairperson Dave Allanby urged residents to attend the meeting. “With the help of all residents, who enjoy the lifestyle, we strive to protect Glen Austin. Without a strong community representation, we will not have much impact on what we want and don’t want in our area,” said Allanby.
Midrand Sector 1 Crime Forum chairperson Jonathan Burrows will also provide community security feedback.
Allanby concluded that residents who couldn’t physically attend the meeting could stream it via Teams.
