Joburg braces for possible snowfall as severe cold front hits
South African Weather Service forecasts point to possible snowfall in parts of Gauteng as icy conditions grip the province.
Johannesburg residents may wake up to an unusual sight this week: snowfall.
A cold front sweeping across South Africa has prompted forecasts of possible snowfalls in Gauteng, including northern suburbs of Johannesburg and surrounding areas, for Thursday and Friday.

This comes as temperatures have already plummeted across much of the country in recent days.

Motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution and remain vigilant for black ice or sudden changes in weather conditions.
