This year, the event held particular significance as it aligned with the commemoration of National Women’s Day, transforming it into a celebration of both health and the crucial role women play in society.

Mandla Mahlangu, the assistant director for sports and recreation in Region A, emphasised the importance of this gathering, noting that it serves as a significant tribute to Women’s Day and actively encourages men and women to unite in pursuing a healthier lifestyle.
