Gauteng police confirm arrest of a woman (22) in connection with boyfriend’s murder in Noordwyk

The 22-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on murder charges.

Gauteng police arrested a 22-year-old woman for the murder of her 31-year-old boyfriend.

The incident occurred in a complex in Noordwyk, Midrand, on September 22.

Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo said police received a complaint of a stabbing in Midrand.

“On arrival, police found a man with a stab wound on the upper body. The victim was certified dead on the scene. Preliminary investigation led to the arrest of a woman who was reported to be the girlfriend of the deceased,” said Masondo.

He said the suspect is expected to appear in the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on September 25.
