The Escape celebrates boundless talent on Heritage Day

The Escape turned Heritage Day into a celebration of South Africa’s boundless creativity at Pere House, Midrand.

Heritage Day was transformed into a celebration of South African creativity in Midrand as Expressions, a platform dedicated to spotlighting local talent, hosted its annual showcase, The Escape.

This marked the second staging of The Escape since its debut in 2020, and the event once again proved why it is fast becoming a cultural movement.

It brought together aspiring creatives and seasoned professionals, offering them a stage to share extraordinary talents through music, fashion, visual art, and beauty — while paying tribute to the richness of South African heritage.

Fashion lovers were treated to a standout showcase led by StitchedByInga, which unveiled its Frost to Fabulous Spring/Summer collection.

Models lit up the runway in designs that reflected elegance, craftsmanship, and modern African flair.

Founder of StitchedByInga, Inga Sebata, expressed heartfelt gratitude to her family and clients, saying their support had carried her creative journey.
