South Africa delivered a powerful performance throughout the tournament, meeting Morocco in a tightly contested final, and securing a 3–1 victory to claim the continental title.
The championship also served as the official African qualifier for the FIFG World Cup, to be held in 2026 in Acapulco, Mexico, raising the stakes and adding further prestige to the event.

Over the past few years, the African FootGolf community has worked to strengthen its regional structures, expand participation, and align its governance with international standards.

The tournament, which kicked off on November 20, concluded on November 25 with the individual competition, attracting a vibrant field of international athletes.

FGSA president Norman Mphake said the win represents far more than a trophy for South Africa. “This was a defining moment for African FootGolf. By securing the continent’s first team competition, South Africa has ensured that Africa will be represented with strength and credibility on the global stage.

“Their performance sets the benchmark for all nations as the sport continues to grow across the continent.”

With the World Cup now firmly in sight, South Africa’s FootGolf stars have set the pace for a promising new chapter in African participation on the world stage.
