“Midrand residents have been so supportive of my musical journey. I remember when I started promoting my music back in 2018. I used to go to the taxi rank and people would buy my CDs.
“Even now, they still ask where they can stream my music, which gives me the momentum to keep doing music, because it shows that, if this audience loves my music, I can also reach a further audience.”
Lephoko started his music career at an early age, singing in the school choir in Mpumalanga where he grew up. For him, it was just doing what he is supposed to do at school. Little did he know that this would be a growing passion for him, leading to him doing it for a living.
He started taking music seriously in 2018. Soon after he released his first soul-stirring EP A Wonder Working God Vol 1, with songs such as A Wonder-Working God and Udumo Lukufanele, featuring Nokuthula Mabaso and focusing on healing and spiritual upliftment.
He has also gained recognition as a rising voice in the gospel scene when he won the Best Intende Song Award at the 1st Annual Amazion Crown Music Awards in 2025 for his song Ngezinkathi Zokugcina, the fourth track from his EP. With a strong influence and inspiration drawn from gospel legend Benjamin Dube, Lephoko hopes to become as big as his inspiration.

Lephoko says his plan for this year is to work on A Wonder Working God Vol 2, continuing the beautiful work he has started.
He also mentioned some of his dream collaborations being Benjamin Dube and the Dube Brothers. “I would really love to work with Tshepang Mophuthi, Musa Yende, Benjamin Dube, and his sons, the Dube Brothers. These are all the artists that inspire me and push me to better my craft, so working with them has always been a dream for me.”
What started off as a school activity has become a passion, as Lephoko sings out the wonder working of God.
