Because of her hard work over the years, the children’s home decided to host this celebration, to show her love and celebrate her on her special day, allowing everyone to put a smile on her face.

“As management,” marketing manager Hopkins Kaira explained, “we decided to make a big party for her, because she is a long serving member of staff and a lot of children have grown to be adults under her watch.

“It’s very important to have birthday celebrations for our staff. Mam Margaret has dedicated her life in raising vulnerable children and making sure they feel the warmth and love of a mother.

As management, we appreciate her dedication, and we are trying to implement this tradition of appreciating our staff members and showing them that they matter.”

The birthday celebration gave Phogole joy, knowing that the work she does is seen and valued.
