Waterfall Hills residents scoop prizes at Hirsch’s Waterfall bingo morning
Senior citizens share hard-earned wisdom and laughter with store staff across the gaming tables.
Hirsch’s Waterfall hosted residents from Waterfall Hills Retirement Village for a morning of bingo, laughter and togetherness. The venue provided a warm, welcoming environment with decorated tables, prizes and refreshments.
At the heart of the event was pure joy, with every number called bringing smiles and cheers. When Heather Smith stood up with the winning card and called ‘bingo’, the room celebrated her victory.

“It is my first time playing bingo, and it was great to play and socialise with the ladies here,” said Smith. “To be honest, we need games like this because we get a chance to create moments of joy ourselves.”
Sharing life advice
Smith emphasised the importance of giving older people opportunities to enjoy life.
“People think when we are old, we can’t do anything,” said Smith. “Today I got a chance to do something productive, and I gave a lot of advice to young women in the store about life.”

Hirsch’s Waterfall public relations officer Michelle Paine shared her motivation for hosting events for senior citizens.
“What motivates me to host such games for our older women is that they always give us young women advice about life,” said Paine. “Their words are so wonderful they can make a person see life differently and realise you can achieve many things.”
