We are experiencing a non-stop power outage which only a select few houses experience. When we report it, we are told that it is because of the squatter camps that connect illegally; and that we, as a community, should go and find those who are ‘sharing’ electricity with these people and expose them.
The outages happen every day from 6pm until the early hours of the following morning. This has been the case since last year. It is worse now during cold days.
* When this newspaper contacted City Power about this allegation, the entity could not assist with the matter as the resident could not provide a reference number for the service provider to confirm whether there are other technical issues causing the blackouts.
