It’s not ‘over’ till Kyalami Prep says so
MIDRAND – Kyalami Preparatory School beats Summerhill School at their home turf.
Summerhill School in Midrand hosted Kyalami Preparatory School recently went head to head in an U13 cricket match.
Kyalami Preparatory won the toss on 23 October and decided to field first, putting Summerhill in to bat.

The Kyalami boys troubled the host’s batters with some fast and accurate bowling. Despite the pressure, Summerhill’s Tristin Pillay was able to score 33 runs which included some fine boundaries. The hosts managed to post 108/4 off their allotted 20 overs.

Kyalami replied with 110/4 in 12 overs with Connor Sneddon smashing 25 off eight balls, Michael Miliken (18 off 14) and Mathew Mayne (25 off 24) for the six-wicket win.

Summerhill coach Steven Balwanth said during his team’s innings they could not get bat on ball. “We were missing a lot and the ball was too quick, even baffling our batsmen. But the good thing that can be identified was their bowlers coming with gas and pace… and to that I say well done to Kyalami, they trained hard.”

Kyalami coach Titus Tshelane congratulated his boys, saying that they kept tight bowling lines which restricted the hosts to 108. “My boys showed a fantastic batting display for us to get 110 from 12 overs.”
