Sports and arts association take it to the park again

Masa chairperson Sipho Ndzuzo believes outdoor aerobics will gain momentum and will see more people joining in.

About 50 people from Noordwyk attended an outdoor aerobics session held by Midrand Association of Sports and Arts.

This was the first outdoor aerobics session post-winter held in conjunction with Region A’s sports and recreation department in Noodrwyk Park on September 10.

Sipho Ndzuzo, the association’s chairperson said the aim was to ensure that the community maintained a healthy lifestyle.

“We [association] are looking forward to having more events as we have more people participating. When we talk about social cohesion, it’s when the community gets together and also exercises together which will ultimately ensure that people [get to] know each other,” said Ndzuzo.

The association’s Theetsa ‘LadyT’ Makgoka said she was happy with the attendance.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors who are giving us a helping hand because without them, then we would not be able to do what we do. As an association, we are grateful and hope our partnership will go a long way in recruiting more people to join us,” concluded Makgoga.
