Hollywoodbets Super League 2023 stars recognised at the annual award ceremony

One of the standout performers of Hollywoodbets Super League season was Boitumelo Rabale, the midfielder from Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

#The Hollywoodbets Super League is one of the most prestigious sports leagues in South Africa for women, and the end-of-season awards ceremony was recently held at the Vodacom Dome in Midrand.

The ceremony on December 9 was a grand event that saw some of the most talented soccer players from across the country being recognised for their exceptional performances during the season.

One of the standout performers of the season was Boitumelo Rabale, the midfielder from Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

Rabale’s outstanding contributions on the field earned her the highly coveted Player of the Season award, which came with a prize purse of R50 000.

Rabale played a crucial role in Sundowns securing their third consecutive league title, which earned them a substantial R2m in prize money.
Several other winners were recognised for their exceptional performances during the season.

Chuene Morifi, another player from Sundowns, was named the Fans Player of the Season, while Thinasonke Mbuli, the coach of the University of Western Cape team, was named the Coach of the Season.

JVW FC’s Kaylin Swart was recognised as the Goalkeeper of the Season. Other notable awards included the Young Player of the Season, which was won by Mmabatho Mogale, an 18-year-old youngster from the University of Pretoria team.

The Top Goal Scorer accolade was awarded to Siphumelele Shamase, who had scored an impressive 22 goals during the season while playing for the University of Joburg.

The ceremony also recognised the contributions of the league’s administrators and officials.

Boitumelo Lekalakala, an administrator from the University of Pretoria, was named the Administrator of the Year, while Hloniphile Msezane was awarded the Referee of the Season accolade. Amogelang Msiza was recognised as the Assistant Referee of the Season.

Overall, the ceremony was a celebration of the hard work and dedication of some of the most talented athletes and officials in South Africa’s sports industry.
