Ronnie Healy riding Blue Turtle’s Capital Magic Boy wins the Toyota SA Outdoor Grand Prix.

The premier event, the 1.50m Toyota SA Outdoor Grand Prix, which took place on April 21 at 14:00, was meticulously designed by Anne-Marie Esslinger, an FEI level three course designer. She crafted a challenging course that tested the skills of the riders, posing significant questions that only the most skilled competitors could answer.

Only two riders advanced to the jump-off: Leona van der Merwe, the current top-ranked rider in South Africa, riding 334 Finale U, and Ronnie Healy, representing Fourways, on Blue Turtle’s Capital Magic Boy.

As the crowd held its breath, the two competitors faced off in a shortened course, against the clock, adding to the excitement of the event.
