Christmas Country fun

MIDRAND - Owls, Christmas shopping and a miniature horse display will be just some of the offerings at Groenvoer's Christmas Country Market on 30 November.

The event will be Groenvoer’s 43rd country market and promises to take patrons back in time to an old-fashioned country market-feel with entertainment, a variety of stalls, and fun for the whole family.

Unusual Christmas gifts will be on offer from arts and crafts to books and plants, and when all the Christmas shopping is done, the food stalls promise to tantalise tastebuds.

For those in the giving spirit, charity stalls will be set up for Animals in Distress, Cresset House, the Lions Club and Midrand SPCA.

On the entertainment front, there will be dance-for-fun, a Karuna Yoga demonstration, LQ Stud’s miniature horse display, and the Pomeranian Club of Gauteng will teach community members about the dogs. Eco-Solutions will also give a talk on owls. For the energetic, there will be piñata smashing.

The market will run from 9am to 2pm and will be held at 410 Olifantsfontein Road, Midrand.
