A unique dining experience at Jenda Food & Wine restaurant

FOURWAYS – JOURNALISTS and socialites enjoyed a day in a page taken out of a Mediterranean food and wine magazine during the media launch of Montecasino’s Jenda Food & Wine restaurant.

Wife of former Bafana Bafana player Matthew Booth, Sonia, and SABC3’s She’s The One presenter, Lunga Tshabalala were some of the guests who were treated to the slickness that is Jenda. The uniquely styled restaurant is the new kid on the block of restaurants at Montecasino, and boasts a different feel to the usual dining experience.

Guests were treated to wine tasting on the first floor of the restaurant, an experience which anyone can organise for a group of friends or family. The wine menu features wines bought at the Nederburg and Cape Winemakers Guild auctions last year, where Tsogo Sun spent just under R3,2 million and took top spot for total sales by a single bidder.

Cocktails and champagne add to the festive feel of the experience with Moet & Chandon’s range from vintage to brut imperial, and cocktails to share in a variety that will appeal to any palate or occasion.

Guests were later served a taste of the kind of dishes Jenda serves. Its menu offers small plates designed especially for a sharing experience with a range of delicious snack foods for the South African palate.

The blend of distinctive spaces fashioned by luxurious couches, relaxed chairs and low tables put anyone in an unwinding frame of mind.
