Siyabonga Mkhize, aka KLY, is a Midrand-based singer, songwriter and creative who has been in the music industry for the past nine years.
Quality to him is key – since 2010, he has been perfecting and strengthening his vocals and writing skills.
His stage name KLY, which stands for ‘Keep Love Young’, tells a story of the kind of message he wants to spread.
The KwaZulu-Natal-born soul RnB singer and former dancer showed off his prowess by dancing for a hip-hop crew called 300. It was not long until KLY’s love for music grew.
In his early days within entertainment space, he spent time downloading videos and tutorials that influenced him to enter the music industry – this led to his first studio experience.
Since the release of KLYMAX EP in 2016, KLY has gone on to release more smash hits and a number of collaborations with artists such as DJ Maphorisa and Nigerian star, Patoranking.
He was also the co-writer for Mafikizolo’s hit single Kucheza which has more that one million views on YouTube as well as Wagwan by Gemini Major, to name a few.
His journey with award-winning record label Ambitiouz Entertainment began in 2017 is sure to give him the extra boost.

November 2018 was a big month for the RnB artist, as his much-anticipated album Keep Love Young was released.
The 16-track album which features artists such as Locnville and Priddy Ugly opens with a bedroom-oriented jam titled Some Day and further eases into emotional disturbance.
KYL’s life, intimacy, everyday situations are some of the topics he speaks about on his latest offering.
One of his many singles, Runners featuring Zingah, was released in October 2018 and now has more than 100 000 views on YouTube.
