Driver killed on the R40

The province has recorded a total of 16 people who died during the Easter Holidays.

MBOMBELA – A life of a young driver was tragically ended when he lost control of his Nissan Bakkie on the R40 Road this past weekend.

The driver was killed on the spot while two other male occupants sustained serious injuries.

White River police spokesperson, Capt Gugu Phiri confirmed the incident.

She said police have opened a case of culpable homicide.

The province has recorded a total of 16 people who died during the Easter Holidays.

Statistics have shown that the province recorded a total of 57 accidents compared to 88 crashes in which 22 people died during the previous holidays.
