Pensioner burnt to ashes
Mr Phineas Nkambule was allegedly tied with wires before his house was set on fire.
MBOMBELA- A 52-year-old man was arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a 72 year old pensioner.
The suspect will appear today before the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder, robbery, arson, kidnapping and farm attack.
According police provincial spokesperson Brig Selvy Mohlala ,the suspect was arrested from his hideouts in Soweto after being on the run for some time.
On March 29, the suspect allegedly attacked Mr Phineas Nkambule, tied him with wires before setting his house on fire. “Nkambule’s neighbour was also tied wires but he managed to escape with minor injuries,” says Mohlala.
