A 30 year old man has been arrested by the Embalenhle police near Kriel in Mpumalanga on Wednesday in connection with charges of fraud.
According to police information, the suspect visited a certain furniture shop at the Mall in Embalenhle where he then attempted to purchase a refrigerator and a wall unit using a fraudulent payslip, identity document and bank statement.

Shop officials requested the man to produce original documents and he failed to do so. Police were then called and arrested him. He is expected to appear before the Evander magistrate’s court today.
