45 year old man arrested for his wife’s murder
The husband allegedly told police that they had been attacked by a group of people the previous night while on their way home, and that they had gone to bed without reporting it to authorities
A 45-year-old man was arrested in Ermelo in connection to the murder of his wife (42).
Mr Vusumuzu Edwin Nhlabatsi appeared in the Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder and possession of a unlicensed firearm.
He was remanded in custody.

On May 29 Nhlabatsi summoned paramedics, who in turn informed the police about the woman’s body which was found in the couple’s house.
The deceased had a gunshot wound on the upper body.
Upon investigation, a used cartridge with blood stains and a firearm were found hidden in the yard.
Nhlabatsi was immediately arrested. The matter was postponed for further investigations to June 8.
