Traffic cop killer appears in court

The suspect had been in custody since his arrest

The court case against a Lesotho national, Mr Alexander Mohoebi, who pleaded guilty for the murder of one of Mpumalanga’s traffic officers was postponed to January next year.

Mohoebi appeared in the Delmas High Court on Thursday. He had previously pleaded guilty to the shooting and killing of Mr Bongani Nkumba who was conducting his duties on the R23 road in Standerton on August 5, 2016.

Mohoebi has been in custody since his arrest. The court postponed the case to January 22 and 25 for sentencing.
