NKOMAZI – A water tank that fell over at a primary school crushed an eight-year-old child and injured two other pupils on Tuesday morning.
Zipho Nsingwane was instantly killed and Musa Khoza and Christian Dlamini were in a serious but stable condition.
According to police spokesman Col Leonard Hlathi, the three children attended Majembeni Primary School. “The incident happened during break time when the schoolchildren went to go drink water from the JoJo tank.” He said Zipho died immediately, but Musa and Christian were seriously injured and rushed to the nearest hospital. He confirmed that they were in a stable condition.
He said the police were investigating how the tank could have fallen over.
