Opposition party credits the ANC for sloppy RDP’s
Congress of the People's youth movement blames the ANC for the housing delivery system.

COPE youth movement in Mpumalanga is again, as good luck would have it, crediting the ANC led government and its administration with anticipated sloppy RDP housing delivery system that kept thousands of beneficiaries waiting for the houses that would never come to be.
Meanwhile, that opens a door for crocked officials to deliberately swap the houses to benefit themselves and their beloved cadres, while the poor peasants are kept on waiting for the rain in the desert.
This has been confirmed by the report of the office of the Public Protector that was tabled before COPE youth movement, on the complaints that were sent to the above mentioned office by Sbu Hlolweni (COPEYM provincial chairman) earlier this year.
The Public Protector reported that Govan Mbeki municipality acknowledged that 7 names of people that were said to have benefited are indeed appearing on their database as if they have RDP houses while there are no houses in their plots.
The Govan Mbeki municipality further vowed to resolve the problem when confronted by the Public Protector. Although we know that they are capable of not honoring their promises, we hope that the Public Protector will hold them accountable for their written vow.
COPE youth movement in Mpumalanga further pledges the community to forward their complaints to them in order to receive their rightful RDP houses.
“We know that there are hundreds of people who were supposed to have benefited from RDP housing, but because of the bad housing delivery system their houses are either built on the wrong stands, appearing to have withdrawn the applications or similar situation” said Mr. Hlolweni (COPE youth movement chairperson and provincial organizer)
