Patel was highly recommended among other entries that had significantly impressed the judging panel and have set a precedent in terms of entrepreneurial talent and success in the country.
Patel’s seven-years of experience had brought extensive knowledge and experience in transforming Malcom Ezindaleni Hydraulics & Engineering into a flourishing empowered company which serves the mining, power station, heavy industrial and engineering sectors.
“By focusing on marketing and innovation, the company has grown over 700 per cent,” he said.
He attributes this phenomenal growth to targeted marketing and rebranding the company to become an industry leader.
He acknowledges the large role which their competent team has played in the business’ transformation.
He said superior quality products combined with service and innovation in design propelled the company to win the ‘S.A Premier Business Awards 2013’, in addition to the company being selected as one of the Top 10 and finalists for the ‘Legatum Africa Awards for Entrepreneurship 2010’.
Patel’s role as president of the Middelburg Chamber of Commerce & Industry resulted in it becoming one of the Top 5 Chambers in the World Chambers Congress competition, as well as winning the “Best Chamber of the Year Award 2010” from SACCI.
